The Australian Institute of Genealogical Studies bought a copy of the Johnstone High church CD earlier this year. We have just got around to trying to add it to a computer in our library but have found the disc is faulty and will not read. Please advise how the library in Melbourne can arrange for a replacement copy

Good day to you. I am trying to find out about my family that was born and raised in your beautiful town in the 1700 my 7 times great grandmother and her family were the Janet McCrae
And she married my great grandfather William Howitson.
I can’t find anything before 1728 .. who was Janet’s Mother and Father? I know Janet was a McCrae of Clan McCrae whom fought in the uprising.. my grandfather told stories that his great grandfather told him of a man named Duncan McCrea . That’s all I know and can remember. I know this is a long shot but I would love to know more about my family. Thank you and many blessings to you .
    Sincerely and best regards.
